About Culling Scales

Culling Scales, Artifact, designed by Daren Bader first released in Oct, 2003 in the set Mirrodin. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.00.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board by removing low-cost permanents would benefit from using Culling Scales, especially in a slower, more controlling strategy. While Culling Scales can be effective in certain situations, there are better options like Oblivion Stone or Nevinyrral's Disk that offer more flexibility and control over the board state. Ultimately, whether Culling Scales should see play depends on the specific deck and meta, but it may not be the optimal choice in most cases.

Rules

12/01/04

Most tokens have a converted mana cost of 0. A token that’s a copy of another permanent or card has a converted mana cost equal to that permanent or card’s converted mana cost.

12/01/04

You choose the target. If there’s more than one nonland permanent tied for lowest converted mana cost, you choose which one to target.
